How to attach files in Mailchimp

Mailchimp is an excellent tool to carry out email marketing campaigns. In general, its use is very intuitive but perhaps the option of attaching files is somewhat hidden so that the recipients of the mails can download them. Steps to follow:

Once you have created your account, something that can be done for free, and you have already started with your campaign, as you can imagine, access to add attachments you will find in the design section. Specifically, in the lower area you will find a section that says File Manager.

From here, everything is very simple. You have two options, either attach files that you have uploaded to a server or that you have on your own computer. In this last case, you must press the button that says Browse . Otherwise, you should choose Import from url.

Then, as you usually do when you browse through the different folders on your computer, see where you have the file you want to attach to Mailchimp and select it.

Now, you have your file uploaded to the Mailchimp servers. What you have to do is get the code that you will have to paste in the design section of your campaign. To do this, click with the mouse where it says Copy.

Next, go back to the design section of your email marketing campaign that you are doing with Mailchimp and paste the code that you have copied. You can get it, for example, by clicking on the right mouse button and selecting paste.

Now, you see that you already have the code pasted. This is the path written in html of the file that you want to attach to Mailchimp.

To check that everything went well, send a test email. To do this, go to the upper right area and click on Preview and test and then on Send a test email.

Open the email to which you have sent the test and you will verify that you receive an email with a link. Clicking on the latter you will have access to the file that you have attached to Mailchimp and you can download it to your team. As you can see, it is a very simple process that allows you to enrich your marketing campaigns by email.
