How to open files with an ISO extension

An ISO Image is a file where a copy or exact image of a file system is stored. Usually it is a Cd, a DVD, programs, operating systems, etc ... To open them we need a program that can do it. There is no problem because there is a wide range of programs available for it. From .com we will see how to open files with ISO extension.

You will need to:
  • Have installed in our PC programs such as Winrar, Ultraiso, Daemon tools or similar.
Steps to follow:

one

For the first way to open an ISO file we will need to have installed a very common and free decompression program, Winrar . With this program installed and a complete ISO file, we would only have to click on it and it would open, but this is not usual since ISO files are divided and it is necessary to put them together first. To do this, I start creating a folder on the desktop where I will store, extract and mount the ISO.

We just have to right click on the ISO file that we want to open and choose the option to open with Winrar . We enter Winrar properly, we mark all the files that are part of the ISO image and we will see a bar of options among which we will choose " extract in" by clicking on it. Now it will ask us for the route where we want to extract those files and we will choose where we want to locate it from the options that they offer us (before starting the process I recommend creating a specific folder on the desktop to host the extracted ISO). Well, now in this case we can open it by executing the autorum or copy the ISO in a cd, a dvd, etc.

But there are two other programs that we can get for free that will allow us to open and use the ISO files on our computer without having to copy them to a CD or DVD. It is Daemon Tools lite and Ultraiso . With Ultraiso it is really simple. Once downloaded that program, we click on its icon to use it. We look for the ARCHIVE option in the action bar, a menu will be displayed and we will choose to open and look for the ISO file that we want to open. We will double click on the ISO file. Now you just have to look in the taskbar Ultraiso the option Mount in virtual drive . We click on mount and return. Then we just have to enter the icon Computer of our computer and see that we have created a virtual unit that will act as if it were a cd or dvd that we had introduced and is ready to use it.

Tips
  • Use the virtual option better to open the file and if we see that we like it or it is useful, because if we want we can copy it to cd or dvd
