How to make the bombing game
How to play the bombing game : turn on the electro-magnet and hold a small screw or nail to it. Push the matchbox tray gently with your finger to swing. Now turn it off and try to get the screw or nail to fall into the tray while it is still swinging. See the following article on how to make the bombing game
You will need to:- An electro-magnet
- 2 cables, each about 20 cm long with bare tips
- A cardboard box
- A switch
- 2 pieces of strong cardboard, longer than the box
- Strong cardboard one 3 cm wide and longer than the box
- 2 cotton threads about 30 cm long each
- A phosphor box tray and a nail or screw
- Newsprint, tape and scissors

First of all place the box in the center of each piece of cardboard and draw lines on the sides. Fold along the lines. Make a slot on the top of each piece in the middle.

Then fill the box with crumpled newspaper, but leave enough room at one end for the battery. Make two holes in the box as seen in the drawing.

Then insert the two pieces of electro-magnet cable through the upper hole and remove them through the end of the box. Connect the tip of a cable to a battery terminal.

Thread the tips of two new wires around two pins in the switch. Insert the tips through the hole in one side of the box and pull them out. Attach a switch cable to the free terminal of the battery. Screw the other cable, with the free cable of the electro-magnet.

Then place the battery in the box and put all the cable inside. Glue the bottom end to the box with tape. Hold the large pieces of cardboard up at the ends of the box and tape them together. Insert the cardboard strip into the slots to make a bar through the top.

Then hold the electro-magnet in the middle of the bar that crosses with tape. Hold the cable along the bar and along the piece of cardboard.

Finally hang the threads on the bar that crosses. Glue the ends of the threads into the corners of the match box with tape. Separate the threads so that the tray is level and rocking freely.
