How to make the game of finding light

How to play the game of finding light : two players has a pencil covered with tinfoil each. One starts at the red exit and the other at the blue exit. When the red output is touched, the red light turns on. The player then tries to find the next red light by moving only one square at a time. If the light goes on the same player tests the next pin. If the light does not turn on, the player tries again. If the blue light is turned on, the player has to return to the exit again and the other player has his lathe to try the blue light. The winner is the one who runs all the way from the start to the finish with only his light working. When you have learned the two paths from the start to the finish line, try to find the path from the finish line to the start.

You will need to:
  • A large cardboard box but little wave
  • 2 pencils
  • 2 bulb holders each with a 3.5 volt bulb
  • A large square sheet of paper. Florist wire
  • A 4.5 volt battery
  • 4 cables 20 cm long with bare tips
  • 36 pins
  • 2 cables 40 cm long with bare tips
  • Tin to cover the pencils. Red and blue tempera paint
  • Adhesive tape, glue and scissors
Steps to follow:

one

First divide the paper into 36 squares, drawing five lines in each direction. Paste the paper to the box. Put pins inside 14 squares, together each other, making a wavy line.

two

Then turn the lid over and wind a piece of wire around each pin. Start at one corner and make a line at the other corner.

3

Then fold all the ends of the pins back, making sure they do not touch each other. Cover them all with adhesive tape except the first one.

4

Next above the top of the box, point to the first pin of the line as "red exit" and the last as "red goal"

5

Throw in 14 more pins to make a second wavy line from one corner to another. Thread wire around the tips; bend them back making sure they do not touch each other.

6

Then mark the end of the second line as "blue exit" and in the corners "blue goal". Fill the other remaining boxes with pins.

7

Then connect a short cable to each pin in the bulb holders. Make a hole in each side of the lid and put the light bulbs through it. Glue the bulb holders into place with tape.

8

Then connect a cable from each bulb holder to a pin in the corners of the lid. Screw the other two wires of the bulb holders around a battery terminal .

9

Wrap the two pencils tightly in tin foil. Glue one end of a new long piece of wire to the tinfoil on each pencil with tape.

10

Then make two holes in the cover near the two exits. Tuck the free ends of each pencil cable through the holes and attach them to the free terminal of the battery.

eleven

To finish put the battery inside the box and lower the lid. Paint the red bulb on the red side and paint the other bulb blue.
