How a plant grows up or down

There are many everyday things that we do not ask ourselves because they are like this and we take them for granted as for example that the plants grow upwards but if you plant a seed downwards, it grows downwards? Or on the contrary, does it turn around and grow correctly? Try planting some seeds of legumes to know what happens with the roots and stems. Look at the following article on, how does a plant grow, up or down?

You will need to:
  • 6 beans or peas (of those you use to plant)
  • A little soil (the best is sold in bags called mulch)
  • A pot or a pot
  • Scissors
  • A small plastic bottle
  • Black paper
  • Elastic rubber
Steps to follow:

one

First of all fill the pot of earth . Press it down with your fingers, and pour water on it until the soil is soaked.

two

Then press the seeds on the ground. Place the pot in a warm place with light and wait for the seeds to sprout. They need about a week to break and grow.

3

Then when the seeds have sprouted, cut off the ends of a small plastic bottle . It must be large so that the seeds slide easily and have room to grow.

4

Then put a seed inside a bottle. Insert the moist soil on each end of the bottle covering it well. Pour a little water on each end.

5

Finally wrap the bottle with a piece of black paper, leaving the ends open, holding it with the rubber . Place the bottle in a warm place with light. Watch it every day.

6

Why it happens Either way you plant seeds, the stems will always grow towards light. The roots always grow inside the earth because it and the water give them encouragement.
