How to create your own crossword

A crossword is a very entertaining hobby that consists of a grid in which you have to write words that cross both vertically and horizontally. In the grid there are white squares, where the letters have to be written, and black squares that separate the words. To be able to play with the crossword, you will have to carefully read the definitions that will be provided to guess which words are hidden in the crossword puzzle. On the Internet there are many pages where you can create your own crossword puzzle. Next, we propose one of them and the steps you will have to follow to do it.

The first thing you will have to do to create your own crossword will be to go to the following link: create a crossword puzzle.

Then, you can write the crossword title, although it is optional.

You can also choose whether or not to add the crossword instructions.

The next step to create your own crossword will be to write all the words you want to come out in it; You can enter a maximum of 35 words. Each word must be entered with a clue next to it.

For example, if the word entered is DOG, the clue could be: pet that is considered to be man's best friend. Being a program in English, write all the words and clues without accents, because it will not accept them.

Once you have written all the words and clues, look at the bottom of the page and select the options that interest you:

- Make a line for name so that each word appears in a line

- Show the word bank so that all the words of the disorganized crossword appear. The last option you will only have to check if you want your crossword can be used by other people.

Click on horizontal / vertical to get these words in Spanish. If you do the crossword in English click across / down.

Click on Saving options. You will see three options: slot 1, slot 2 and slot 3. Click on the disk of slot 1 . It will ask you: "Are you sure you want to overwrite Slot 1?" Click on accept

To finish your crossword, press the box that says: Make Crossword Puzzle.

You will see a box with this title: Crossword notes. Close it by clicking on the cross on the top right and your completed crossword will appear.

On the left you have several options:

- Show key (answers) : This option is the one that will come out by default. If you click here your crossword will appear and resolved to the right. If you do not want the answers to appear you will have to select show puzzle.

- Print puzzle: you can print your crossword puzzle

- Verdana-Géneva, ...: if you click here you can choose the type of letter you want to appear in the crossword puzzle.

Look at the part that I marked with a red box. You can remove or select the options they give you and if you click on the squares that I have marked with blue, you can choose the type and size of each of the parts of your crossword puzzle .

If you select add an image (add an image) you can insert one of the images that show you. If you see the screen print, I have selected a dog. You can place the image where you want and modify its size.
