How to connect a PC controller on the PlayStation 3

The PlayStation 3 is Sony's main console. Its extraordinary capacity allows it to perform high-performance functions, such as playing Blu-Ray or videos in high definition. One of the features that the big Sony has when playing is the ability to connect a USB control PC and use it as if it were their own . The advantage of this utility is that a command of these features has a much lower cost than an original PlayStation 3 control. This functionality is almost unknown to fans of the medium so today I will show you how to do it and what are the points that should be consider.

You will need to:
  • A Sony Playstation 3 console
  • A USB PC control
Steps to follow:

one

To connect the PC controller to the PS3, first you have to turn off your PlayStation 3 console. Although this step is not one hundred percent necessary, it is recommended.

two

With the console off, connect the PC USB remote to any of the free USB ports on the PlayStation 3 console.

3

To finish the process of connecting the PC remote, turn on your console again. Your command will have already been recognized and will be ready to be used.

Tips
  • While you can use any PC USB command, it is recommended that you use those that resemble those of the Playstation format, as the photo shows.
  • Although it is unlikely, it is possible that sometimes the buttons of your PC USB remote control are recognized in an inverse way (for example: the button that should be triangle is recognized as square). If this is the case, you must change command.
