How to connect a Playstation 3 to the internet via wifi

If you have a PlayStation 3 with the Wi-Fi LAN function, you can connect it to the Internet . The configuration of the Internet connection may vary by network, but if you have a typical network configuration, you should be able to connect your PS3 to the Internet by using this process. Obviously you will need the Playstation 3 and an internet connection with a Wi-Fi router.

  • Internet connection
  • Wifi
Steps to follow:

Make sure your wireless Internet connection is active and in full force. Disconnect the cable from the PS3 Ethernet if it is connected to the system.

Turn on the PlayStation 3 console and select "Network Settings" in the "Settings" option in the main menu.

Select the option "Internet connection settings" and select "Yes" when the system shows a new screen saying that it will be disconnected from the Internet.

Select "Easy" on the next screen that asks you what kind of installation you want to use.

Select "Wireless" when you are asked what type of Internet connection you have.

Select "Search" on the screen system. The system will search all Internet connections available in the area.

Select your Internet connection at home when the screen appears showing the available Internet options. Select your security settings and enter the encryption key. Save the configuration

Try connecting your playstation 3 to the internet by selecting the "Test connection" option. If the connection has been made, your network information will appear on the screen.
