How to check if the air is heavy

Here is a good way to discover if the air is heavy . It is difficult to get all the air out of a bucket or bottle without special equipment but you can do it with balloons. This experiment is very appropriate for young children to do since they will learn and have fun at the same time. Look at the following article if you want to know how to check if the air is heavy.

You will need to:
  • A thin stick about 60cm long
  • 2 balloons that have the same shape and size
  • 3 pieces of rope about 30 cm long each
  • A pin
Steps to follow:

one

First strongly tie the end of a rope in the center of the stick . At the other end, raise the stick. Slide the rope along the stick until it is perfectly level.

two

Then fill an air balloon and tie a knot in the neck with the other rope. Inflate the second balloon until it is about the same size as the first and close the neck with the third string.

3

Tie the balloons one at each end of the stick . Slide the strings along the pole until the pole is exactly level again. Now click a balloon with a pin and watch. He would lean to the side. If you click the other will be level.

4

It works because when you blow up a balloon, all the air comes out. The other balloon full of air weighs more than the vacuum, and that is why the stick is tilted.
