How to check what happens when the water freezes

When the water cools and turns to ice, something strange happens to it. For these experiments you have to use the fridge freezer. Use a plastic or metal container. Do not use glass containers because they will break. If you are curious what is happening, look at the following article, how to check what happens when the water freezes.

You will need to:
  • A small plastic container with lid
  • A small metal jar or jar
  • 3 pencils
  • A bottle with a cap
  • Scotch tape
  • A refrigerator
Steps to follow:

one

First fill the plastic container right up with cold water. Place the lid and put it in the freezer of the refrigerator. Leave it about eight hours.

two

Then take out the container. When the water has frozen it automatically lifts the lid and ejects it out of the container. Possibly, the sides too.

3

Then fill a jar or jar with cold water to the top . Press the lid as hard as you can, without spilling the water.

4

Finally, place the cap of a bottle on the lid. Put the pencils under the jar and one on the cap of the bottle. Roll the adhesive tape to the pencils. Leave it in the freezer for about eight hours.

Why it works When the cold water freezes it enlarges and pushes outward. Its pressure is so strong that it breaks the pipes of the water inside the houses when it is very cold.
