How to make a good presentation at work

Let's suppose that at work they ask you to present a project to a group of investors. It depends on you that the work goes ahead. What you will do is far from the presentations 'to get out of the way' that were made in the university, for example. Do not lose the calm that gives you instructions to order your ideas and make a good presentation at work .

Steps to follow:

When preparing the presentation, keep in mind the technological advances . Support your words in a presentation, so it will be much easier to make a speech and the interlocutors will find it more interesting.

The ideas that you put on the slides have to be brief and concise . With four lines will suffice. Remember that the slides serve as support, not for the rest to read them.

Be direct and get to the point . When a presentation goes around the bush, the effect it causes is the loss of attention and the boredom of the listener. For example, if you have been assigned 60 minutes to make the presentation, try not to exhaust all the time.

If you do not have fun, better not make jokes during the presentation. There is nothing worse than trying to be funny when you are not. Be yourself and everything will go well.

Leave the most impactful slide to the end. That your interlocutors take a good impression of you and your speech. If you put the most impact in the middle of the presentation, you will cause people to be distracted and not attend to what you say later.

Test that electronic devices work properly before you start the presentation. Even so, if during the speech there is something that looks wrong, do not get nervous, apologize and move on to something else.

Look over the heads of the attendees to some infinite point, but not all the time or it will seem an unreal speech. From time to time it is convenient to fix your eyes on the audience and even ask rhetorical questions and other questions to know your opinion about it.

Do not read what you have to say, just do it if you forget a word, although if you have prepared the presentation you will know what to say at each moment. Take small breaks from time to time. Speak loud and clear and change the intensity of the voice from time to time to maintain attention.

Use good beginnings and better endings . Take a real situation and adapt it to your speech to start there. You will catch the attention right away. And at the time of finalizing the presentation, also choose a key and striking phrase. You can also end with a rhetorical question.
