How to make headdresses for a wedding

Wedding headdresses are making a comeback in those brides who want to stand out during their wedding or in brides who simply prefer to wear a good accessory. Forget about tiaras and tiaras, the fascinator is the ultimate accessory for a spectacular bride. A veil of mesh mixed with flowers, feathers, crystals or pearls, is cheap and quick to assemble. If you want you can create your own fascinator, with the help of a glue gun.

You will need to:
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Net
  • Hot glue
  • Glue gun
  • Comb accessory
  • artificial flowers
  • Feathers
  • Tweezers
  • Crystals
Steps to follow:

one

Cut the network in a circle of 20 centimeters in diameter.

two

Place hot glue on top of the accessory crest.

3

To a segment of 8 centimeters from the circle, bend the mesh in the folds. You can pleat the net over the top of the ridge, sticking the mesh in place. Place the mesh in the same direction. Let it dry completely.

4

Cut the stems of the artificial flowers so that the buds can adhere firmly to the net.

5

Place the hot glue on the top of the pleated mesh. Glue the feathers over the layers to hide the imperfections.

6

Glue on the back of the artificial flower and stick it in the center of the feathers. Let it dry completely.

7

Collect crystals, pearls, sequins or other ornaments to accent the fascinator.

8

Place the hot glue on an available surface.

9

Using tweezers, pick up an ornament and dip it in the hot glue. Place it on the flower ornament or on the feathers to add shine. The petals on the ends of the feathers produce a better appearance.

10

Repeat step 3 for each ornament that is added. Let it dry completely.

Tips
  • Do not substitute tulle for network. The tulle is a mesh much finer than the net and the fascinator will fall too much if it is made of tulle.
  • Do not add too many ornaments. Minus, when it comes to accentuating a delicate fascist.
