How many countries are there in Europe

Europe is the second smallest continent after Oceania, has an extension of about 10, 530, 751 km2 and a population of around 739, 000, 000 inhabitants. Its extension can be located in the eastern half of the Northern Hemisphere, stretching from the Arctic Glacier Ocean in the north to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. On the west, it reaches the Atlantic Ocean and on the east limits Asia. Russia is the largest country in the European continent, while the Vatican City is the one with the least extension. Eurasian countries

As we have said, there are 7 countries that have been considered European and Asian at the same time. These have part of their extension in both continents and due to the great controversy generated about which continent each one belonged to, it was decided to classify them as Eurasian countries. Countries that are part of the European Union

European policy is marked by the existence of an economic and political entity to which a total of 28 European countries belong . We are talking about the European Union (EU), an association based on the rule of law and with all its activities based on the treaties that the different member countries have democratically agreed upon. The EU is governed by the principle of representative democracy, has a single currency (the euro) and its institutional capital is Brussels, which is where most of the community institutions have been established.
