How to get ready in the Spanish Navy

First of all you must consider the requirements demanded by the Spanish Marine Infantry before you can enter the body. If you want to join the Navy, you must have Spanish nationality or that of one of the countries established by law, be between 18 and 29 years old on the day you join the Military Training Center, have no criminal record, and measure between 1 ' 55 and 2'03 meters.

Once the decision to get ready has been made, the next step to follow is to request an appointment with the Navy. You can organize a meeting by phone by calling 902 432 100 or online, by filling in the corresponding online form on the Ministry of Defense website www.mde.es. You can also do it by going to the Delegation of Defense of your province or by submitting your request for appointment appointment in a barracks of the Civil Guard.

On the other hand, you must prove your professional merits and completed studies by presenting certain documentation :

  • a photocopy of the DNI
  • a certified photocopy of the academic qualification and
  • the Declaration of Citizen Conduct form.

Next you will undergo some access tests that consist of a medical examination, physical tests and psychological tests. Physical tests include long jump without run, sit-ups, push-ups and 20-meter round-the-clock progressive races. Regarding psychological tests, these are aptitude tests that assess your ability in technical, operational and service tasks.

Finally, you will have access to a personalized professional orientation, during which you will be interviewed . Depending on your skills and your physical and medical report, the counselor will guide you regarding the positions that would most adapt to the characteristics that are reflected in your results.

After completing this process, days later you will be called by telephone to communicate the position assigned to you, from among those that you had requested. They will also be responsible for communicating the required procedures to join the Training Center assigned to you. Once you are selected, you will start a two-month training at the Training Center that corresponds to your specialty . Finally, they will transfer you to the destination assigned to you during the initial selection process.
